PPV Solenoid Valve EV1 EV2 71773490 71749995 – Fiat Ducato Comfort-Matic
Two of these proportional pressure solenoid valves (PPV) are installed on the hydraulic unit of the Comfort-Matic system and are responsible for engaging the even (EV2) and odd (EV1) gears. A defective valve can cause problems when engaging gears.
We sell brand-new replacement parts from a renowned German manufacturer, which are equivalent in quality to the original parts. Please be sure to check the stated OE reference numbers, as there are different versions of the Comfort-Matic system with different solenoid valves. We are not able to identify the correct valve based on your VIN or vehicle data.

Pressure Accumulator – Fiat M20 Dualogic / Selespeed
The accumulator is responsible to store the pressure of the hydraulic system for later access by the actuators. The diaphragm type accumulator has two cells: one cell storing the hydraulic fluid and one cell containing a gas to create counterpressure. Both cells are separated by a membrane. These accumulators have a certain life span and a common defect is that the gas leaks out of the cell, which causes the system to be unable to build up hydraulic pressure. In many of such cases, the pump appears to prime permanently.

The pump supplies the hydraulic pressure for the different consumers (actuators) of the DDCT system and stores it in the pressure accumulator. The pump consists of a small gear pump and an electric motor. If the pump motor fails, the DDCT cannot perform clutch operations or gear changes due to the lack of pressure.

The pump motor drives the gear pump, which generates the pressure for the Dualogic / Selespeed transmission. Both parts together form the hydraulic pump. Without hydraulic pressure, the transmission cannot perform any action – neither change gears, nor operate the clutch. Therefore, the hydraulic pump is the most important component in the system.
In most cases, it is sufficient to replace only the electric motor, as this is a wearing part. The gear pump fails only very rarely. Another advantage is that when only the pump motor is changed, the hydraulic system does not need to be bled afterwards, unless it has been opened.
