Accumulator – Ferrari F1
The accumulator is responsible to store the pressure of the hydraulic system for later access by the actuators. The bladder type accumulator has two cells: one cell storing the hydraulic fluid and one cell containing a gas to create counterpressure. Both cells are separated by a membrane. These accumulators have a certain life span and a common defect is that the gas leaks out of the cell, which causes the system to be unable to build up hydraulic pressure. In many of such cases, the pump appears to prime permanently.

Clutch Solenoid Valve – Ferrari F355 F1
The clutch solenoid valve is responsible for the clutch actuation of the F1 system. A faulty valve can cause problems while engaging the clutch (for example shuttering) and in consequence the car refuses to change gears.

Engagement Solenoid Valve EV1 EV2 – Ferrari F355 F1
The two engagement solenoid valves are responsible to engage the gears, they perform the forward and backward movement of the gear selector. In the case of failure of this valve, the car will refuse to go into one or more gears.

The pressure sensor is responsible to detect the hydraulic pressure in the accumulator of the F355 F1 system. This is a brand-new, made-in-Germany spare part.
Pump Motor – Ferrari F355 F1
New F1 pump motor
The pump motor drives the gear pump, which generates the pressure in the system. Both parts together form the hydraulic pump. Without hydraulic pressure, the transmission cannot perform any action – neither change gears, nor operate the clutch. Therefore, the hydraulic pump is the most important component in the system.

Pump Relay – Ferrari F1 (4-pin)
The electromagnetic relay is responsible to turn on / off the hydraulic pump of the Ferrari F1 system. A broken relay causes the pump to fail priming. Without hydraulic pressure, the system cannot engage the gears or clutch.
Please mind, that there are two different versions for the Ferrari F1 relay (30A with 5 pins and 50A with 4 pins). Check the car reference and compare the part numbers.
