The two diaphragm pressure accumulators store hydraulic pressure in the transmission system and briefly provide the required oil pressure during gear shifts and clutch actuation. This supports fast and precise hydraulic operation, relieves the pump, and helps compensate for pressure fluctuations in the system. A defective or heavily worn pressure accumulator may become noticeable, among other things, through significantly more frequent operation of the hydraulic pump, delayed gear shifts, delayed clutch actuation, irregular shifting behavior, or error messages in the transmission system.
