Accumulator – Alfa Romeo TCT
The accumulator is responsible to store the pressure of the hydraulic system for later access by the actuators. The bladder type accumulator has two cells: one cell storing the hydraulic fluid and one cell containing a gas to create counterpressure. Both cells are separated by a membrane. These accumulators have a certain life span and a common defect is that the gas leaks out of the cell, which causes the system to be unable to build up hydraulic pressure. In many of such cases, the pump appears to prime permanently.

Filter – Alfa Romeo TCT
The filter is located in front of the hydraulic pump’s fluid inlet and is responsible for removing contaminants from the hydraulic system, as these could otherwise cause damage to the various components. If the filter becomes clogged, the pump’s suction performance decreases, and the system may build pressure more slowly or not at all. This is a brand new, original Magneti Marelli spare part.
Fluid Tank – Alfa Romeo TCT
The fluid tank stores the hydraulic oil used for controlling the transmission. Damage to this reservoir may cause it to leak. This is a brand new, original Magneti Marelli spare part. Please carefully check the product photo and the OE reference number, as there are different versions of this oil tank.
Gear Position & Clutch Speed Sensor Module – Alfa Romeo TCT
The integrated sensor module monitors gear engagement positions and clutch rotational speeds in the Alfa Romeo TCT dual-clutch transmission. It incorporates four magnetoresistive position sensors to detect the engagement of the six forward gears and reverse gear, as well as two speed sensors monitoring the rotational speeds of clutches K1 and K2. The module also carries the temperature signal from the hydraulic actuator assembly to the transmission control unit. Faulty sensors can cause incorrect gear position readings, shifting problems, transmission error messages or emergency operating mode.

Hydraulic Actuation Module – Alfa Romeo TCT
The hydraulic actuation module controls clutch operation, gear selection and gear engagement in the Alfa Romeo TCT dual-clutch transmission. It contains six proportional solenoid valves that regulate hydraulic pressure and oil flow for the two clutches and the gear shifting mechanisms. Integrated pressure and position sensors monitor hydraulic pressure and actuator movements, allowing the transmission control unit to precisely manage clutch engagement and gear changes. A defective module can cause shifting problems, clutch engagement failures, transmission error messages or emergency operating mode.

The pump supplies the hydraulic pressure for the different consumers (actuators) of the Alfa Romeo TCT system and stores it in the pressure accumulator. The pump consists of a small gear pump and an electric motor. If the pump motor fails, the TCT cannot perform clutch operations or gear changes due to the lack of pressure.
