Accumulator – Abarth 500 Dualogic / Selespeed
The accumulator is responsible to store the pressure of the hydraulic system for later access by the actuators. The membrane type accumulator has two cells: one cell storing the hydraulic fluid and one cell containing a gas to create counterpressure. Both cells are separated by a membrane. These accumulators have a certain life span and a common defect is that the gas leaks out of the cell, which causes the system to be unable to build up hydraulic pressure. In many of such cases, the pump appears to prime permanently.

EV0 Clutch Solenoid Valve – Abarth 500 Dualogic / Selespeed
The EV0 Solenoid Valve is responsible for the clutch actuation of the Dualogic / Selespeed system. A faulty EV0 can cause problems while engaging the clutch (for example shuttering) and in consequence the car refuses to change gears.

EV1 / EV2 Engagement Solenoid Valve – Abarth 500 Dualogic / Selespeed
The engagement solenoid valves are responsible to engage the gears of the Dualogic / Selespeed system. In the case of failure of this valve, the car will refuse to go into one or more gears.
EV3 / EV4 Selection Solenoid Valve – Abarth 500 Dualogic / Selespeed
The selection solenoid valves are responsible for selecting the gears of the Dualogic / Selespeed system. In the case of failure of this valve, the car will refuse to go into one or more gears.
Gear Sensor – Abarth 500 Dualogic / Selespeed
The Dualogic / Selespeed gear sensors (potentiometers) are responsible to detect the current state of the gear engagement. There are two of these sensors installed on the unit. A faulty sensor can prevent the car to engage gears or shift.

Hydraulic Pump – Abarth 500 Dualogic / Selespeed
The hydraulic pump is powered by the pump motor and creates the hydraulic pressure for the Dualogic / Selespeed system. In the case of a faulty pump, the hydraulic system has no pressure and cannot change gears.

Oil Reservoir – Abarth 500 Fiat Idea Dualogic / Selespeed
The oil reservoir stores the hydraulic oil of the system.
