Accumulator – Ferrari F1
Accumulator – Ferrari F1

The accumulator is responsible to store the pressure of the hydraulic system for later access by the actuators. The bladder type accumulator has two cells: one cell storing the hydraulic fluid and one cell containing a gas to create counterpressure. Both cells are separated by a membrane. These accumulators have a certain life span and a common defect is that the gas leaks out of the cell, which causes the system to be unable to build up hydraulic pressure. In many of such cases, the pump appears to prime permanently.

We offer the brand new original Magneti Marelli spare part.

Please mind: for the Ferrari F355 you will need an extra union kit / adapter to install this accumulator, which is available separately in our store.

PPV Solenoid Valve – Ferrari F1
PPV Solenoid Valve – Ferrari F1

The valve block / power unit of the Ferrari F1 system contains 6 solenoid valves.

  • EVF (QPV) – clutch engagement
  • EV1 (PPV) – gear engagement
  • EV2 (PPV) – gear engagement
  • EV3 (QPV) – gear selection
  • EV4 (QPV) – gear selection
  • EV5 (QPV) – gear selection

Photo for demonstration purpose only. The valve may come without sticker label. Depending from model and year of construction the numbers on the sticker label may vary. In case you are not sure if the part fits your car, please contact us before you buy.

Pressure Relief Valve – Ferrari F1
Pressure Relief Valve – Ferrari F1

The pressure relief valve is responsible to prevent damage to other components due to excess pressure in the hydraulic system. A defective valve would cause pressure loss and frequent pump cycles (similar symptoms as a worn pressure accumulator).

Pump Motor – Ferrari F1
Pump Motor – Ferrari F1

The pump motor drives the gear pump, which generates the pressure for the F1 transmission. Both parts together form the hydraulic pump. Without hydraulic pressure, the transmission cannot perform any action – neither change gears, nor operate the clutch. Therefore, the hydraulic pump is the most important component in the system.

In most cases, it is sufficient to replace only the electric motor, as this is a wearing part. The gear pump fails only very rarely. Another advantage is that when only the pump motor is changed, the hydraulic system does not need to be bled afterwards, unless it has been opened.

We sell an original, brand new Magneti Marelli spare part – the same part you would get from Ferrari.

Please check the car reference and compare the picture with your part. There are two types of Ferrari F1 pump motors.

Pump Relay – Ferrari F1 (4-pin)
Pump Relay – Ferrari F1 (4-pin)

The electromagnetic relay is responsible to turn on / off the hydraulic pump of the Ferrari F1 system. A broken relay causes the pump to fail priming. Without hydraulic pressure, the system cannot engage the gears or clutch.

Please mind, that there are two different versions for the Ferrari F1 relay (30A with 5 pins and 50A with 4 pins). Check the car reference and compare the part numbers.

Pump Relay – Ferrari F1 (5-pin)
Pump Relay – Ferrari F1 (5-pin)

The electromagnetic relay is responsible to turn on / off the hydraulic pump of the Ferrari F1 system. A broken relay causes the pump to fail priming. Without hydraulic pressure, the system cannot engage the gears or clutch.

Please mind, that there are two different versions for the Ferrari F1 relay (30A with 5 pins and 50A with 4 pins). Check the car reference and compare the part numbers.

QPV Solenoid Valve – Ferrari F1
QPV Solenoid Valve – Ferrari F1

The valve block / power unit of the Ferrari F1 system contains 6 solenoid valves.

  • EVF (QPV) – clutch engagement
  • EV1 (PPV) – gear engagement
  • EV2 (PPV) – gear engagement
  • EV3 (QPV) – gear selection
  • EV4 (QPV) – gear selection
  • EV5 (QPV) – gear selection

Please note: The product photo is for illustrative purposes only. The valve may be supplied without a sticker label. Depending from model and year of construction the numbers on the sticker label of your original valve may vary. The valve supplied by us replaces QPV02 and QPV10 valves, but not QPV14. Selection Sensor / Potentiometer – Ferrari 360 Enzo F1
Selection Sensor / Potentiometer – Ferrari 360 Enzo F1

The F1 selection and engagement position sensors (Potentiometers) are responsible to detect the current state of the gear engagement. There are two of these sensors installed on the gear actuator. A faulty sensor can prevent the car to engage gears or shift.

Please note that the installation of this sensor requires modification of the wiring harness.
